Surabaya – Pura Group reaffirmed its strategic role in the global tobacco industry through its participation in World Tobacco Asia (WTA) 2025, one of Asia’s largest tobacco industry exhibitions, held on 23–24 October 2025 at Grand City Mall, Surabaya. This event marked an important step in strengthening Pura Group’s position as a global provider of printing, manufacturing, and packaging solutions.

The tobacco industry, particularly Hand-Rolled Kretek Cigarettes (Sigaret Kretek Tangan/SKT) continues to represent the largest market segment in Indonesia and across Asia. According to Statista, Indonesia recorded 112 million smokers in 2021, with the figure projected to reach 123 million by 2030. This significant market scale positions Indonesia as a key regional hub for tobacco industry development, making WTA 2025 a highly strategic platform for industry engagement and collaboration.
